Biography

Sijoy Varghese is an Indian actor recognised for his notable characters in the South Indian Film Industry. An Ad Film Maker by profession, he runs his own Ad Film Production Company named ‘TVC Factory’, a well-known one for its highly successful commercials. He is the current General Secretary and founder member of Indian Adfilm Makers (I AM) Association.

           Sijoy made his big-screen debut in the role of a Police commissioner in Martin Prakkat's ‘ABCD’ along with DQ. After his second venture ‘Thira’ by Vineeth Sreenivasan, he starred in Anjali Menon's box-office hit ‘Bangalore Days’ as Coach Zach to Dulquer and Fahadh. His style and charisma attracted great fan following which led him to be cast in the same role in other South Indian language remakes of ‘Bangalore Days’.

           Sijoy’s role of ACP Gautam Viswanath along with Dileep in Director Joshiy's ‘Avatharam’ was well appreciated by critics and public in general. His portrayal of St. Peter in Sujith Vasudev's ‘James & Alice’ proved his versatility and earned him best supporting actor awards from Asianet and Asiavision. He won attention for his characters as DySP in ‘Guardian’, Sanjay Tharakan in ‘Kolambi’ ‘Dr Vijay Varma’ in ‘Gemini’, ‘Vasu’ in ‘Jamna Pyari’ and ‘Alex Plamoottil’ in Mohanlal starrer ‘Ittymaani - Made in China’.

           In other languages, he appeared in Bollywood movie ‘A Gentleman’, Telugu movie ‘Amar Akhbar Antony’ and Tamil movies ‘Munnodi’, ‘Nana’ and ‘AK-61. His villainous role as ‘Sidharth’ in Pranav Mohanlal Debut movie ‘Aadhi’ was well received by the audience. Pairing alongside Mamta Mohandas in ‘Lalbagh’, he gained a lot of popular appeal. Sijoy was fortunate to have appeared in both the directorial ventures of Prithviraj Sukumaran, ‘Lucifer’ and ‘Bro Daddy’.

           He also runs a Celebrity Management Company called ‘Amazing STARZ’, known for its professionalism among the leading Brands and Celebrities in South India. Born to (Late) C. Varghese Kelamparambil (Rtd Headmaster) and (Late) Leelamma Varghese (Teacher), Sijoy Varghese grew up and studied in Kochi. He married Tessy Raphael and they are blessed with five children, Adithya, Amy, Annie, Anthony and Zarah.
